Lakai Fully Flared

About two years or so ago I heard that Lakai was going to do a full length video, and right when I heard this I tried to make calls and find out when they were going to have this thing out. Me and a **** ton of other people did the same and it kept getting delayed then delayed again. After years of being put off I saw they had a legit release date finally. I instantly called the guys at Lakai to try to have a premier here, they said they didn’t know yet they were busy lining up there own premier and I got nervous because I’m not trying to fly to Tokyo or LA to see a video, but then again this was the “Fully Flared” video I’ve been waiting to see since 05'. Linden at Lakai called and said he would fly us out to LA to go to the video premier. I’m not big fan of LA but since they were able to get us out there I could learn to like it fast that’s for sure. We get there and the theater held 1800 people and it was packed and this was invite only, I couldn’t imagine how many people would’ve been there if it wasn’t.
The video started with Mike Mo who had a part where half of the tricks have never been done and I can’t think of a part that would have been better to start this video with. Jesus Fernandez was sick to watch because he’s been under the radar for awhile, and now I see why. I would pay to watch a game of ledge skate with these two, that **** would go on for hours. Alex Olsen’s part was fast paced with a style that’s mixed between Mike Carroll’s and Julien Stranger and how can you top that, one of his tricks being a frontside feeble frontside 180 out down an 8 to 10 stair hand rail. Biebel’s part is what you would expect, except way better with baggier pants every thing he does is landed perfect, French Connection and the Royal family parts were good, I wanted to see a full part from Lenoce and Welch but instead they both share a part with Scott Johnston which sounds lame but was really good because it is like 8 minutes long. Koston’s part was ****ed as usual and held down the middle of the video. Cairo’s was pretty serious but I wished he had done more lines, I don’t really need to go into Carroll or Howard’s parts because they have the best style no matter what they do, except Carroll has two parts and how can you go wrong with that. I love Poppalardo but his part was pretty good for a standard video, but in this video it didn’t stick out and looked like he slacked a little bit in comparison to these dudes. In my opinion Guy Mariano had the best part which was actually two, Mariano is the **** and came through with a part that will blow your ****ing mind, that is of course you’re a huge fan of Marc Johnson because this dude I heard had twenty some minutes of footage that they had to use because it’s so good and every thing was pretty much flawless as you would expect, with three full parts and about 30 enders throughout those parts. He ended that video like no other. I left that **** thinking it was about 40 minutes but it was over an hour long and not once during that video did I even think of blinking. I’ve been skating about 20 years and I don’t think I’ve seen a better video not even Mouse. Some people out there might hate because you can tell they put a lot money in it and it has kind of a Hollywood feel with high dollar cameras and ****, and there’s no tight ass pants with some idiot jumping off a rooftop and thinking that’s skateboarding. Thanks to linden for getting us there it was the best **** ever.

We are still working on lining up a video premiere here so keep looking for that in the future.
